IBC has extended the submission deadline for its 2026 Technical Papers Program to Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, giving prospective authors an additional week to submit entries for presentation at IBC2026.
According to IBC, the program is designed to provide technologists and companies with a platform to present original research and technical innovation to media industry leaders attending the conference.
At the initial stage, IBC is requesting a 300-word synopsis outlining the key topic of the proposed paper. The synopsis should clearly explain the background, identify what is novel or unique, and summarize the potential applications.
IBC says the Technical Papers Program forms a core part of the IBC conference content and is open to submissions from across the media, entertainment and technology sectors. Entries are invited from professionals, academics and R&D teams working independently or within organizations across broadcast, communications, electronic media and related disciplines.
A panel of industry experts reviews all submissions. Papers selected for presentation at the IBC2026 Conference will also be eligible for the Best Conference Paper Award, which is presented during the IBC2026 Awards ceremony.
