Femotion Radio, a station specifically for women launched on DAB+ May 13 in Germany.
Run by HerFunk GmbH, part of Teutocast GmbH in Leipzig, the station airs nationwide on the country’s second national DAB+ multiplex.
“With Femotion Radio we want to create a brand that takes women into their own world. Under the motto, ‘Mein Leben. Mein Style. Meine Musik’ (My Life. My Style. My Music.), our full program covers women in all walks of life, including children, career, sports, household and family,” said Ina Tenz, head of Content and Strategy.
Drexler is a veteran radio presenter as well as a professional voiceover artist for commercials, image films and radio plays. “Equality between women and men is still not a matter of course in this country, I have personally experienced this twice in my professional life. It is time for all women in Germany to have a strong voice,” she explained.
Hornig, a journalist and radio presenter, brings experience from working on various morning shows in Germany.
