Ferncast will host a free webinar titled “Immersive Audio in Radio” on April 25, 2024, at 10 a.m. CET. The company says participants will gain insights into the past, present and future of immersive audio in radio and the Dolby Atmos experience. They will learn why embracing immersive audio can modernize the radio listening experience, offering listeners a more engaging and immersive way to consume content.

Guest speaker Arnd Paulsen, senior manager of broadcast and OTT eco-system at Dolby Laboratories, will showcase 3D audio and the various audio codec formats Dolby has developed that support immersive audio experiences. He will also present the differences between live immersive and post-produced audio and the playback options for Dolby Atmos.

Ferncast experts will share additional information surrounding the topic and offer practical guidance on configuring immersive audio formats in aixtream software for seamless integration into audio workflows and explain how to benefit from the advanced functionalities of the new Dolby formats, like upmixing.
