DRM to host General Assembly

The Digital Radio Mondiale Consortium is holding its first post-Covid in-person General Assembly in Palma de Mallorca, Spain, April 27–28 under the banner “Smart, Local and Efficient.”

The DRM Consortium is inviting people to join the open day of the event on April 27 via Zoom. The session will include updates from various countries, including Indonesia, India, South Africa, Brazil and Germany.

The receiver session scheduled for the same day will feature feedback from NXP, Skyworks, Cambridge Consultants/CML Microcircuits, Gospell, Inntot, Fraunhofer IIS, Starwaves and other manufacturers. The existing and new receiver solutions already support the full DRM standard for AM and FM and extra benefits like emergency warning functionality, distance learning and additional content in various languages.

The open session will also include feedback from the India automotive group and the progress of the innovative education project led by Encompass Media Services.
