To celebrate World Radio Day, Digital Radio Mondiale is publishing an ebook focused on “DRM for Education.” This will also mark the consortium’s launch of its “DRM Delivers Education for All” initiative.
On Feb. 13, the group will release the ebook, which details how DRM can be used for distance learning. The Consortium explains that as a “one-to-many” platform, the DRM digital radio platform can deliver audio and text over vast areas. Therefore, it can reach schools and students in villages far away or in busy cities, with the same content and quality and without any discrimination.
The Consortium stresses that the advantage digital radio provides over analog needs to be exploited fully to bridge the educational gap that exists in most countries of the world. The global pandemic has exacerbated and made more visible this issue.
