D&R to Offer New Dante-Compatible I/O Cards

D&R AXITE

D&R Broadcast is in the process of phasing out its current AES67/USB card and replacing it with a new Dante-compatible card. The AES67/USB card, used in the I/O racks of the company’s AXITE and AXUM digital mixing consoles, can no longer be manufactured due to end of life of a component.

The new card will provide 32 x 32 mono channels or 2 x 16 stereo channels. The retail cost will be €430 (about $534) . To accept the audio stream, a driver for the PC will cost about €30 ($37).

D&R’s AXITE

D&R’s AXITE and AXUM units are modular in design, with I/O cards that can be shared between systems. With the modular concept, MambaNet controls the primary portion of the I/O rack. Each I/O card is shared in the network and can be controlled from the network, explains the company.

The I/O cards together with the rack will behave as a large matrix in the network. If one or more DSP cards are inserted, the matrix will have mixing capabilities.
