DHD says it will highlight three decades of innovation at IBC2026 as it marks its 30th anniversary. The German broadcast-audio equipment manufacturer will unveil a new console, but has not yet announced a model name or detailed specifications.
The company will also demonstrate firmware version 10.4 across its DX2, RX2, SX2 and TX2 mixers and XC3, XD3 and XS3 IP cores. Flex Channels gives operators access to sources from a preassigned input list instead of restricting selection to the fader channel pool, while Channel Categories simplifies navigation through larger systems. The firmware also allows operators to adjust a remote microphone preamp’s input gain from a console touchscreen, the Views App or the Control API.
Version 10.4 incorporates secondary Precision Time Protocol clocks directly into the Best Master Clock Algorithm evaluation, strengthening clock redundancy across DHD audio-over-IP systems. Enhanced PTP logging uses the industry-standard Syslog protocol to simplify log management.
DHD’s Routing App will make its IBC debut, providing secure local or remote control of a processing core’s complete input and output configuration. Operators can display crosspoint matrices graphically, save configurations as presets and recall them when required.
The company will also show its Control API, which provides access to AES67/Ravenna interfaces and controls stream parameters, interface settings and related functions. DHD positions the access-token and TLS/HTTPS-secured API as a license-free alternative to NMOS and Ember+.
Additional demonstrations will include the Discovery tray app, which identifies DHD cores, RM1 remote-production interfaces and networked AES67/Ravenna or Dante devices as they come online. DHD will also preview a MIDI implementation for controlling digital audio workstations and video-editing software, including Adobe Premiere, directly from its hardware.
DHD’s AI-based audio noise-reduction option, developed using technology from ai-acoustics, will complete the exhibit. The processing reduces background distractions such as traffic noise in outdoor recordings while aiming to preserve the speaker’s natural voice and timbre.
