DAB plans advance in Italy

According to a release from Aeranti-Corallo, the Italian radio and TV association, the Italian Ministero delle Imprese e del Made in Italy (MIMIT), Italy’s communications industry overseer, has published a list of companies expressing interest in DAB digital radio frequencies in the regions of Emilia Romagna (Region 8), Marche (Region 11) and Sardinia (Region 20).

Each region has three networks (group of frequencies) available. In each region there was interest in two of the three networks available and with the exception of Emilia Romagna #2, which had two, each network had only a single interested party.
