Comrex offers Access codec trade-in

Comrex, codecs, Access

Anyone who has spent a few years in the broadcast business (or IT) knows that many, if not most, facilities have a room packed with old equipment. Some of it not so old.

Comrex is pitching a limited time offer that might take part of that burden off of some of its clients.

If you purchase an Access NX-Rack or Access Multirack codec, the codec maker will take your original Access Rackmount codec off your hands plus, pay you for it. Buy an NX-Rack and get US$500 back and a Multirack will get $700.

The original Access Rackmount debuted in 2005 and, according to the company, tens of thousands have been sold so more than a few must still be around, somewhere. Comrex promises to ecycle those they receive.
