CGI highlighting latest product innovations and services at IBC2024

CGI is showcasing its latest media solutions and services at Stand 8.B47 at IBC2024

The company is introducing the latest version of its dira Dimension suite, featuring integration with Adobe Creative Cloud applications like Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, and Adobe Audition. This new capability allows users to edit media files within Adobe’s software, enhancing flexibility and efficiency in media production workflows. It also incorporates AI-driven functionalities for improved automation.

In addition, CGI is debuting a fully web-based multi-track audio editor with server-based rendering, allowing users to edit and render audio directly from web browsers. The company is also showcasing AI-driven features in dira, including speech-to-text capabilities for faster audio transcription and text-to-speech for automated announcements, further enhancing the suite’s automation tools.

“The new capabilities in dira showcase our commitment to integrating AI throughout our product range,” said Michael Thielen, vice president of consulting services at CGI. “As always, we are paying close attention to the human factors in newsroom and radio processes, ensuring that AI augments existing workflows for a compelling reason.”

OpenMedia newsroom solution

CGI is also highlighting updates to its OpenMedia newsroom solution, including the OpenMedia Intelligent Assistant, which provides AI-driven news production in a GDPR-compliant manner. The company says updates to OpenMedia NewsBoard, ReporterApp, Metrics, and Insights will further improve newsroom operations.

“We have several integrations to show live at IBC covering both traditional and cloud-based production workflows,” said Michael Pfitzner, vice president consulting expert at CGI. “Supporting on-prem and cloud production solutions in OpenMedia enables our clients to make the best and most economical choice from the market’s variety of production systems.”

CGI will also highlight its Unicorn Academy, which has been collaborating with over 30 startups since 2018 to develop innovative solutions for its clients. The academy focuses on accelerating technology integration, enhancing customer interaction, and creating advanced solutions for sustainable growth.
