Barix has announced that with the latest firmware release, 2.11, the Barix IPAC family now supports Dante audio.
In brief, Dante on IPAC provides the following:
- two channels for transmission and two for reception,
- full Dante compatibility, including device advertisement, discovery, PTP and control,
- automatic appearance in Dante Controller under transmitter and receiver rows
- All the functionality of IPAC firmware, including message scheduler, background music receiver and SIP VoiP client.
The company says the addition means more possibilities and versatility for clients’ audio networking needs and will host a webinar on July 18, hosted by Barix CEO Reto Brader, to explain further what those are. It will also share four applications it believes present business opportunities for Barix distributors and resellers.
The webinar is on Tuesday, July 18, at 10 a.m. Central European Daylight Time (CEDT)/ 5 p.m. in Hong Kong.
The company is inviting Barix distributors and resellers, AV and PA system installers, AV and VoIP consultants and IT integrators.
