British telecommunications company Arqiva has selected DAC System’s RFHawkeye to monitor 27 FM high-power transmission sites across Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
Arqiva provides data, network and communications services to major radio broadcasters, including BBC, Global Radio and Bauer.
Manno, Switzerland-based DAC System designs and develops unique RF monitoring solutions for broadcasters worldwide.
According to Arqiva, adding the RFHawkeye solution will further increase the number of smart assets in its portfolio and allow it to monitor its RF antenna system performance in real time and identify trends or exceptions to underlying performance characteristics.
Furthermore, the analytical engines built into RFHawkeye will provide insights into reducing maintenance costs and improving the reliability of its high-power FM antenna network.
DAC System says deploying the RFHawkeye solution has the additional benefit of reducing material waste by extending equipment lifespan through real-time monitoring and performance management.
