AEQ Introduces Talent

AEQ TALENT

AEQ has released Talent, a portable IP audiocodec that transmits a high-quality audio channel from the microphone to the radio studio. It connects to a remote unit at the station and provides for the associated feedback through headphones. In addition, it transmits a stereo signal from a 3.5 mm jack input or an A2DP Bluetooth connection, which can be mixed with the voice captured by the microphone.

In the opposite direction, Talent receives a stereo program return signal that can be monitored through headphones or sent through a line output or Bluetooth link.

AEQ designed the unit to be cost-effective, with easy installation, operation and connectivity. Talent connects with ADSL/optical fiber domestic Internet connections or wireless 3G/4G/5G data connections using simple router/modems with internal SIM card.

The microphone input has a preamplifier with low noise and distortion levels. Encoded signals are sent using the OPUS family of encoding algorithms.

When linked via Bluetooth, Talent can be used for interviews through a smartphone or with apps such as Skype, Whatsapp or Zoom. The material can be recorded or sent live to the studio for mixing.
