AEQ will host an online webinar on Thursday, July 9, to introduce Forum IP Plus, its new digital audio mixing console for broadcast on-air control and production environments. The session will start at 9:30 a.m. CEST (1 p.m. in New Delhi, 3:30 p.m. in Kuala Lumpur and 5:30 p.m. in Sydney.)
According to AEQ, Forum IP Plus is designed for on-air broadcast applications. It can adapt to self-operated studios, traditional studio-control workflows, small TV audio production, general sound production and AoIP networked installations.
The console includes automatic monitor muting, cough muting, fader start, control signaling, external equipment control, talkback, intercom and external communications management. Essential functions such as channel activation, level adjustment and routing are available directly on each channel, while more advanced functions are accessed via a contextual 7-inch touchscreen.
Forum IP Plus supports one to six four-fader modules, plus a control and monitoring module. AEQ says the system allows users to assign any input signal to any control channel and store channel settings, signal distribution, routing and processing parameters in memory banks for different programs or operators.
The console also includes IP connectivity for broadcast workflows, audio processing with a three-band parametric equalizer, filters and dynamics, and up to 32 mono sum buses for program outputs, monitoring, clean feeds and ancillary uses. A Virtual Forum option allows remote control from a PC or tablet and supports expanded simultaneous channel use.
AEQ says the design aims to combine precision, ergonomics and error-free operation for broadcasters working across live and production environments.
