The Irish Times, an independent news source in Ireland, has joined Acast’s network of publisher partners.
The Irish Times has a weekly audience of one million people across its digital content and print newspaper. To serve the changing needs of its readers, the publisher is investing in new formats such as podcasts. Acast will handle the hosting, distributing and monetizing of the podcasts produced by The Irish Times, as well as provide the analytics to help the publisher understand its listenership.
In The News will be published in the morning, initially with two episodes per week on Mondays and Wednesdays. However, it aims to increase frequency in the months ahead.
The Irish Times is part of the Acast Creator Network. Its shows are available on all podcast listening apps, including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music and Spotify. Brands and agencies can advertise in The Irish Times’ podcasts through the Acast Marketplace.
