Acast has signed Fearne Cotton’s popular podcast, Happy Place, to the Acast Creator Network.

Acast will host, distribute and monetize the podcast, which is in its 11th series. Happy Place is the most-listened-to wellness podcast in the United Kingdom, and one of the country’s biggest independent shows, notes Acast. It has more than 40 million total listens to date.

The relationship will expand the global reach of the podcast, with a key focus on the U.S. market. Premium ad products in the Acast Marketplace, such as Sponsored Stories and branded content, will offer diversified revenue. Acast+, the podcast subscriptions service, will offer listeners deeper engagement and also unlock fan-supported revenue.

Broadcaster and best-selling author, Fearne Cotton, is a leader for a new generation of wellness-conscious women.

“Our commitment to growing the Happy Place podcast and reaching more people has never been more important, as so many people face loneliness and mental health problems. And we chose Acast for this exact reason — we want to reach as many people as we can, all around the world,” commented Cotton.

Cotton won the Podcast Champion award at the 2021 British Podcast Awards in recognition of her contribution to podcasting and efforts in opening up conversations around mental health.

The Happy Place podcast invites guests to converse with Cotton about life, love, loss, and everything in-between, delving into what happiness means to them.
