2wcom MoIN Links Production and Distribution

2wcom’s Multimedia over IP Network server software is designed to ease the task of managing complex contribution and distribution networks. It’s available in hardware, software or cloud versions and provides real-time streaming, transcoding, protocol transforming, routing and mixing.

Supporting various protocols, standards, and codecs, MoIN is also compatible with third-party products.

The server software manages broadcast applications such as Icecast to DVB transport stream transcoding. It can also feed a streaming encoder or transcode audio signals to adaptive bitrate protocols.

In addition, it operates as an AES67 to WAN bridge for signal transcoding from studio networks that use AES67, Dante, Wheatnet, Ravenna, or Livewire+.

2wcom says MoIN can instantiate up to 1000 on-demand transcoders. This gives operators the possibility to handle alternative audio streams, like audio description or different audio streams for social media platforms and radio. The system combines NTP and 1PPS for synchronization.

Operators can pre-configure the hardware and software via a web interface and remotely via SNMP, Ember+, or JSON. A SIP phonebook negotiates protocols and codec algorithms just by one click.

According to 2wcom, MoIN offers a “pay-as-you-grow” business model. This, it says, means users can activate all features on-demand and respectively to the application.
