WorldCast Systems, RXR2, rebroadcast receiver, tuner, IBC2024

No, you’re not seeing a ghost from the past, WorldCast Systems really is launching a rebroadcast FM receiver, the Ecreso RXR2.

Aimed at “FM rebroadcasting applications and on-site modulation monitoring,” the RXR2 offers dual tuners, multiple signal measurement and monitoring tools receiver, several audio and MPX outputs, and even a Micro SD card slot.

Bonus with the dual tuners is that there can be automatic switchover upon a signal failure.

WorldCast expects the RXR2 to be operated remotely most, if not all, of the time, so it has beefed-up the web-based platform. “This allows broadcasters to manage and optimize performance effortlessly, without the need for a physical presence on-site,” a release explained.

It is fully compatible with WorldCast’s ScriptEasy scripting along with its Kybio network management program.

WorldCast Systems Director of Product Marketing Gregory Mercier said, “The Ecreso RXR2 exemplifies WorldCast Systems’ dedication to advancing broadcasting technology. Its innovative features not only address current broadcasting requirements but also prepare broadcasters for future developments.”

An online RXR2 product brochure has more details.
