Producer Wouter Van Belle, Paul Michiels and Jan Leyers of Soulsister and singer Liliane Saint-Pierre were inducted into Radio 2’s Hall of Fame

VRT, the national public-service broadcaster for the Flemish Community of Belgium, has announced the winners in the 20th Radio 2 Hall of Fame award in a live broadcast from the iconic Ostend Kursaal on the Belgium coast.

The three-hour event inducted legendary Belgian band Soulsister and music producer Wouter Van Belle into the station’s Hall of Fame in honor of their extensive careers in the music business.

Broadcast live on Radio 2’s Bene Bene DAB+ channel, the ceremony was in collaboration with author’s rights association Sabam for Culture.

During the show, presented by Niels Destadsbader, artists like Axelle Red, Helmut Lotti and Laura Tesoro paid a musical tribute to the two new Hall of Fame members.

In addition, the songs “Soldiers of Love’” by singer Liliane Saint-Pierre and “Het kan niet zijn” by Flemish repertoire veteran Will Tura, were introduced in the Hall of Fame list.
