Former VRT Ketnet TV channel manager Annemie Gulickx has been appointed head of the Flemish public broadcaster’s audio department.
In her new role, Gulickx will oversee live content, VRT’s radio events and the broadcaster’s digital audio activities.
As audio on demand, podcasts, vodcasts, personality radio and live content increasingly converge, Gulickx will draw on her radio background, including roles at commercial station FM Brussel and VRT’s Studio Brussel and MNM, to bring these areas together within VRT’s audio strategy. The broadcaster said the aim is to further develop a strong, future-oriented audio brand.
“It’s great that I’m given the opportunity to think about the future of audio at VRT,” Gulickx said. “With the many in-house audio and radio brands, I’m looking forward to continuing to build on what is already there and to responding to new developments ahead.”
