Vortex brings CallMe codecs to NAB Show

Vortex Communications, codecs, 2025 NAB Show

Vortex Communications is bringing its CallMe line of hard and soft codecs to the show. The latest on them is that they’ve added RFC 7198 dual-stream, which uses uses two separate IP streams for reliability.

New for many at the show will be the CallMe-Hub. “The new CallMe-Hub lets users control and monitor codecs both for local use — for example providing information for units that do not have an in-built screen — and remotely for fleet operation,” according to a press release.”

The CallMe line is aimed at remote contribution applications, “providing compatible cost-effective solutions for guest contributors and reporters, outside broadcast and studios. Fully-embracing SIP connectivity including dual Streaming, CallMe fits well into the latest trend for codec compatibility.”
