Unity Living is a hotel/furnished apartment developer based in Denmark but also serving the Nordic countries. At one of its developments in Aarhus, Denmark, it worked with commercial AV installer and background music service company TuneButler to provide sound in the common areas. Unity says it builds out “common areas” to include yoga studios, gyms, meeting spaces, lounges, cafes, etc.; even “coworking” spaces and in support of video screens.

The result is 58 Genelec 4020 small two-way installation powered speakers installed.

TuneButler CEO Kasper Hollænder said Unity “wanted to create an appealing atmosphere for customers and, of course, music and sound is a huge part of that.” He added “With Genelec you have great sound everywhere. Whether that’s in the meeting rooms, the home cinema, or a fitness environment where the bass is required to be a little punchier, Genelec’s products deliver without fail.”

In addition, he noted, “The Genelec system handles these diverse requirements very well, and we’ve had no problems at all with the audio.”

For installation purposes, Hollænder highlighted the Genelec 4000’s Euroblock connectors, “This makes signal connections 75% faster as the speakers can be easily daisy-chained together.”
