TYX Studios is a group of commercial studios with varying equipment complements, in varying sizes aimed at varying applications, including recording, podcasting, content creation and more. TYX Studios are rentable, offering memberships, in London and Wakefield, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom.

Recent upgrades to some of the prime recording studios brought Genelec to both locations.

A pair of Genelec 8361 three-way monitors supported by Genelec W371 subwoofers were originally installed in the Red Studio. Satisfaction there prompted the same lineup installation at the Cotton Mill Studio in Wakefield, with some of Genelec’s GLM calibration software to solve a space problem. That created a preferred needed “consistent artist experience across both locations.”

TYX Studios Managing Director Jack Freegard said, “To encourage people to come in and use our spaces, you want spot-on monitoring. You want that auditory experience to be a level up so that whatever you’re doing, whether that’s playback sessions, mixing or mastering, you have the confidence that what you hear is what you get.”
