Tigers roar at ISBC

The 2023 edition of International Student Broadcasting Championship has come to a conclusion.

Drum roll, the Station of the Year was won by UST Tiger Radio, based at the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, The Philippines. The crew gathered six awards.

Other awards included the Best On-Air Team winners, “Matt and Issy for Breakfast,” Shock Radio, University of Salford, Manchester, England; Best On-Air Talent award given to Toby Penman, Youth’s Choice, Global Academy, London; and Best Podcast Talent was picked up by Rose Kelley of WKNC at North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, North Carolina.

There were other awards in categories such as e-sports announcing.

The UST Tiger Radio team from University of Santo Tomas in Manila won Station of the Year in the 2023 International Student Broadcasting Championship.

The International Student Broadcasting Championship uses radio and podcasting industry professionals on several continents as judges. Winners came from the United States, United Kingdom, The Philippines, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.

ISBC Founder Phillip Vinciullo said, “Our primary focus is helping graduates find jobs and opportunities on an international scale. We believe ISBC can provide development, opportunities, and solutions for students, graduates and the industry.”
