Telos Alliance tackles TV in Brazil at SET

SET Expo 2025, events, Brazil, digital TV

RedTech strives to cover the whole world of broadcast media and related, wherever that may lead.

Next stop, the Telos Alliance in Brazil for the SET Expo 2025. The SET Expo is the NAB Show of Brazil and SET is the Brazilian Society of Television Engineering (translated from Portuguese — Sociedade Brasileira de Engenharia de Televisao).

SET is the developer of Brazil’s digital television standard “TV 3.0.” SET has developed it in coordination with Japan, using that country’s digital TV standard ISDB-T as the base. This Brazilian digital TV system is being adopted by much of Central and South America, along with other countries such as Philippines, so the SET Expo is becoming a very important international show.

The Telos Alliance sensed an opportunity and will be at Booth 103A showing compatible multichannel digital audio hardware and software from its Linear Acoustic, Junger Audio and Minnetonka Audio lines.

Telos Alliance Regional Sales Director Juan Punyed said, “We understand how important TV 3.0 is for Brazil’s broadcasters. Our technologies are already supporting MPEG-H production around the world, and we’re excited to help our Brazilian partners make the most of these powerful new capabilities.”

The SET Expo 2025 is Aug. 18–21, at Sao Paulo’s Distrito Anhembi convention center complex.
