TASCAM 2400 24-track mixer/recorder

Broadcasters, AKA content creators, involved in serious program production, especially of the musical variety, should take a look at TASCAM’s new Model 2400 Live Recorder and Mixing Console.

Nominally a 24-tracker it records to SD, SDHC and SDXC cards. It provides USB interfacing and substantial aux/looping/return/insert functionality incorporating outboard equipment. It is also DAW-friendly with compatibility with Human User Interface/Mackie Control Universal (HUI/MCU) DAW protocols.

The 2400 features TASCAM’s top-of-the-like HDDA preamps (48 V). Onboard digital processing features include three-band standard equalizer and a four-band parametric EQ along with compressors and low-cut filters on select channels. Other onboard effects include reverb, delay and chorus.

MIDI I/O and MIDI Time Code support are included too. There is even Bluetooth I/O on a pair of channels.

TASCAM Product Specialist Sean Daily said, “The Model 2400’s mixer has undergone numerous enhancements that not only make the system a more capable mixing environment, it also makes the system that much more adept at interfacing with a variety of external production equipment — resulting in a considerably more feature rich music and audio production system.”
