One of the concerns of modern digital technology is getting all these amazing tools with their amazing abilities to communicate with each other successfully in a manner in which they can make use fruitfully of all the data they have access to.
On that thought, streaming audio specialist StreamGuys has announced that long-time client, public broadcaster, WHYY’s app successfully integrates StreamGuys’ SGrewind program controller technology.
The WHYY Listen app was developed by Vincit.
WHYY Vice President Digital Products and Services Richard Baniewicz said, “We’re seeing a clear shift in how audiences expect to engage with content. With SGrewind, we now give them the freedom to listen on their own schedule, which has already translated into stronger engagement with our programming.”
StreamGuys Vice President of Technology Eduardo Martinez said, “By weaving SGrewind into their app, WHYY is making it effortless for listeners to catch up, relisten, and stay connected. That’s a win for both the audience and the station.” He added, “WHYY knows that monetization tools that respect listener preferences are a key part of building a sustainable model for digital audio.”
Baniewicz had kind words for the app developer, “Vincit brought the right mix of technical expertise and UX skills to deliver an app our community has quickly taken to.”
