StreamGuys schedules IP audio distribution webinar

Digital audio distribution specialist StreamGuys and Barix are teaming up for an IP audio distribution webinar on Feb. 21, 10 a.m. Pacific time/6 p.m. GMT.

The central push of the webinar is an introduction to the newest version of Barix’s Reflector EVO Service. Reflector is a co-op service offered by StreamGuys and Barix that allows broadcasters to transmit compressed or uncompressed audio programming over the internet to an unlimited number of receivers such as a transmitter, transmitters or program syndication subscribers and more, providing the have the proper Barix reception hardware.

The announcement said, “The new Reflector Service improves redundancy, reliability, and quality while maintaining simplicity and affordability.” Applications for broadcasters include live remotes, STL and radio and sports syndication, the release notes.
