Simple and safe stream player from Super Hi-Fi

Super Hi-Fi, digital audio streaming

StreamPlayer 1 is the latest from the busy boys and girls over at Super Hi-Fi.

It is a “set-and-forget” cloud-powered rackmountable hardware digital audio stream player that is aimed at, but not limited to, audio failure switchover duties at transmitter facilities.

Super Hi-Fi says the box is “cost-efficient” and “designed for FM, HD Radio, and DAB/DAB+ broadcasts.”

In addition it works with the company’s recently launched HLS+ streaming technology.

Super Hi-Fi says StreamPlayer 1 is plug and play including self-configuration with the internet.

It offers “RDS, HD Radio and DAB/DAB+ metadata formats, along with compatibility with Quu and Aim Rapid for enhanced in-vehicle display.”

And “In the event of internet outages, StreamPlayer 1 broadcasts a fully-produced fallback program, ensuring uninterrupted broadcasting.”

It was developed in partnership with Barix so “StreamPlayer 1 is a reliable, cost-effective way to receive and broadcast Super Hi-Fi’s HLS+ cloud-based station streams directly at the transmitter, while automatically generating and storing backup programming to keep stations on the air.”
