With the announcement of the departure of Radio Director An Caers, DPG Media has decided to expand the role of its respective channel managers for JOE, Qmusic and Willy.

The organization, which previously appointed Robin Vissenaekens as JOE channel manager, has now revealed the new leaders for Qmusic and the digital-only station Willy.

Effective January, Michael Dujardin takes the role of Qmusic channel manager. He joined DPG Media 13 years ago as channel manager for tv stations JIM and VTMKzoom, and as marketing and communication manager TV. For the last seven years, Dujardin worked as head of marketing and media with the Tomorrowland festival.

New Roles

“Qmusic is one of the country’s finest media brands and I’m looking forward to continue building our great future, together with a passionate team,” said Dujardin. “At Tomorrowland, I learned to focus on community – I’m proud to have contributed to the international success story of the international dance festival. Returning to the Qmusic family will be great.”

Annelies Orye

Annelies Orye began as channel manager for Willy on Nov 23. She has been with the digital radio station since its launch and now combines her presenter job with the channel manager position. “In little more than one year, Willy has become a relevant digital player catering for the alternative music audience. With a distinct profile, a loyal audience and a great team of music connoisseurs, Willy has what it takes to make the station expand,” Orye commented.

Dirk Lodewijckx, DPG Media general manager for its radio, TV, and streaming activities says he’s very happy with the two promotions.

“We welcome back Dujardin, who earned his stripes with Tomorrowland, building successful live streams reaching audiences of millions and setting up deals with leading international media players. With Annelies Orye we emphasize our future ambition with the group’s latest addition,” he said.
