Nostalgie Beach Festival returns with Simple Minds

After a two-year forced postponement, Belgium’s Nostalgie Beach Festival is sending a message it is alive and kicking and that Simple Minds will headline the returned event, scheduled for Friday, Aug. 5 and Saturday, Aug. 6.

“This year’s two-day event will put the festival on the map of the Belgian festival summer,” said Tom Klerkx, Nostalgie‘s managing director. “We’re looking forward to celebrating, together with our fans, the summer and the best of music, with an impressive line-up of artists.”

Nostalgie says that in addition to Simple Minds, who play the festival as part of their “40 years of hits tour”, it has secured the talents of Dutch singer Anouk and Belgian bands Clouseau, de Kreuners and Bazart.

The festival also relocates to the city of Nieuwpoort, at the maritime park near the yachting port.

As a bonus for those prepared to party in 2020 before organizers had to postpone the event, all tickets and catering vouchers purchased for that year remain valid for the new festival dates.
