Audio restoration and processing specialist ai|coustics has announced a new AI-powered technology package for cleaning up bad audio.
Called Lark, it “leverages AI-driven reconstruction to fill in missing audio frequencies and improve overall richness, ideal for situations requiring a more detailed and creative approach to audio restoration,” according to a release.
For broadcasters Lark would be useful for repairing low-quality or overly compressed audio received from remote and outside sources, either analog or digital; reflating audio that has been subject to the subtractive filtering in used in many audio cleanup and archiving applications; and improving old or damaged frequency-limited audio.
Lark can work in a file-based mode or as a real-time service.
