MediaWorks selects Wheatstone in New Zealand

Late last year New Zealand radio broadcaster MediaWorks added some studio space to its The Breeze 97.5 operation in Hastings on the North Island.

The result was two freestanding “pods” finished off with acoustic treatment.

At the heart is a Wheatstone WheatNet IP system and Wheatstone hardware. An IP-12 console along with Audioarts TS-1 talent stations occupy the main studio (shown). An L-8 console is the center of the smaller studio.

This local setup fits in with MediaWorks’ WheatNet backbone powering the main studios in Auckland, allowing for bidirectional programming and contribution.
