maRadio.be Holds Digital Radio Day

On the morning of Feb. 16, maRadio.be held its annual Digital Radio Day dedicated to digital radio in all its forms.

According to organizers, the event, which ran from 9 to 11 a.m. CET, marked the modernity of this medium consumed every week by 80% of the Belgian population. It also presented the latest results of the maRadio Ipsos study on the consumption of DAB+ in French-speaking Belgium.

At 9 a.m., Francis Goffin (president of maRadio.be) with Eric Adelbrecht (managing director of maRadio.be) kicked off the gathering by presenting the IPSOS survey on the expectations of radio buyers in relation to the purchase of a car.

At 9:30 a.m., Digital Radio Day focused on the evolution of radio advertising investments in relation to the medium’s digitization with Yves Gérard (RMB), Denis Masquelier (IP Belgium) and Hugues Rey (Havas Media Belgium).

Finally, from 10 to 11 a.m., Digital Radio Day focused on the challenges of the radio sector in the face of digitization, with the participation of many Belgian professionals. These included Nicolas Boulart (co-president Radio Z), Vincent Chapoulaud (political advisor), Fred Cools (president of CRAXX), Natacha Delvallée (managing director at Sud Radio), Gregory Finn (general manager of Fun Radio),  Jacques Galloy (managing director of 1RCF Belgium), Karim Ibourki (president of the CSA and ERGA), Erwin Lapraille (general manager of RTL Belgium), Jean-Paul Philippot (general manager of RTBF) and Marc Vossen (general manager of NGroup).
