Broadcast equipment maker Inovonics is expanding its FM modulation monitor line with the Model 541.
This rackmounted fourth-generation digital unit can be operated at the front panel or remotely via IP.
According to Inovonics, the 541 will “deliver a wealth of information about the transmitted signal in terms of the RF carrier and all subcarriers, the audio component defining the technical quality that the listener hears, and full decoding of RDS data and SCA audio.”
In addition is shows “level metering; FFT spectrum analysis of IF passband, MPX baseband and program audio; oscilloscope display of program audio and stereo XY.”
Besides modulation measurement loudness can be measured using the ITU-R BS.1770 spec.
Multiple stations can be monitored by a single unit via the onboard band scanner and StationRotation feature. Alarms for a range of signal faults can be sent by email or text.
