AMSTERDAM — In these days of edgy talk about artificial intelligence possibly rendering humanity as mere bystanders, it can be comforting to look at things tried and true — like the IBC show.

It is that time of the year, Sept. 15–18, at the familiar haunt of the RAI convention center in Amsterdam where IBC2023 will take place.

If there’s a theme it is: “Transforming Media. Changing Perceptions.”

Show organizers say they expect 40,000 attendees from more than 170 countries.

Of course there’ll be plenty of exhibitors with all the latest in broadcast technology; though “broadcast” seems to be a lacking word these days for all the technology facets involved in the industry. Most radio industry exhibitors will be in Hall 8.

And there will be informative and educational sessions for most everything associated as well.

IBC looks to have made an effort to attract Asian attendees and exhibitors saying, “A large number of new exhibitors have booked space at the show this year, as well a large number of other East and Southeast Asian firms which will be featured in the Chinese and South Korean pavilions. The global scope of IBC is growing as exhibitors from Asia Pacific are coming to the show in full force this year which really speaks to the true international nature of IBC and will contribute to the major boost in visitors expected from the APAC region.”

In addition to the Chinese and South Korean pavilions there will also be German and Great Britain and Northern Ireland pavilions.

Here is a list of radio-oriented companies expected to be exhibiting at IBC2023:
