Broadcast equipment maker dhd.audio has released a handy IP network discovery utility app, coincidentally called dhd discovery.
Based on mDNS, dhd discovery handles tracking, information and discovery of DHD connected IP devices on a network and then provides a path to then connect to that device’s control app.
“Anyone who has commissioned a DHD system knows the question: A new device joins the network, so what’s its IP?,” says Marc Herrmann, managing director. “Our established DHD Toolbox application has always had the answer but a lightweight utility in your tray is simply more comfortable for that quick look. And it shouldn’t require Windows.”
It’s free and is compatible with Windows, Apple and Linux.
