DHD adds audio noise reduction to system processor core

DHD audio, AI,

Broadcast audio equipment manufacturer DHD audio has announced that an AI-based programming audio reduction option for its top-of-the-line XD3 IP Core is available. It is available on a license basis for XD3 cores in the field and new cores being delivered.

DHD international sales manager Christoph Gottert said, “The AI-based noise reduction process is much more effective than traditional filter-based tools. Potential applications include the reduction of background distractions from source content such as sports commentaries or traffic noise from outdoor news reports. Processing intensity can be adjusted quickly and easily at a DHD mixing console or remotely. Three instances, each stereo, can be run in parallel on one XD3 core.”

The noise reduction technology was developed with digital noise reduction specialist ai-coustics.

DHD will be in Booth C3132 at the NAB Show for those wishing to learn more.
