Broadcast Electronics names Sparano chief tech officer

Transmitter maker and software developer Broadcast Electronics has named David Sparano as its new chief technology officer, according to a press release.

Th release said Sparano will be “responsible for the company’s technology strategy, product development, and innovation initiatives. The appointment, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation, customer focus, and long-term growth…”

He has plenty of broadcast industry experience having occupied senior tech and customer service positions at GatesAir, Harris, Thomson and Comark.

Broadcast Electronics President and CEO Rich Redmond said, “From building scalable platforms to leading world-class engineering teams, Dave has spent a career turning ambitious ideas into impactful technology via reliable, customer-focused products. As we continue reinventing Broadcast Electronics through greatly expanded capabilities, his leadership will play a key role in shaping our aggressive new product development strategy.”

Sparano said, “BE now offers an exciting environment to develop innovative new products focused solely on customer needs — to deliver more compact, more energy-efficient, more serviceable, and lower cost products that deliver next generation solutions that enable profitable content delivery for our global radio broadcast customers.”
