Aqua Broadcast suggests that radio broadcasters could replace a processor, stereo encoder and STL codec in one single solution with its Aqua Tools.
According to the company, the Aqua Tools combine professional broadcast hardware with Stereo Tool or MicroMPX, Thimeo Audio Technology’s well-known software, depending on the particular Aqua Tool.
Aqua Tool Powered by Stereo Tool is a six-band audio processor, which can generate a MicroMPX signal. Replacing a processor, stereo encoder and STL codec in one compact solution.
Aqua Tool Powered by MicroMPX is a MicroMPX encoder or decoder, defined at purchase. It offers low bitrates and flexible, high-quality audio, that can connect to any of the Aqua Broadcast Cobalt FM transmitters or MicroMPX-compatible equipment.
In a typical configuration, the Aqua Tool Stereo Tool generates the MicroMPX stream at the studio, which is transported over IP and decoded by a transmitter-site Aqua Tool MicroMPX before direct injection into the Cobalt transmitter.
The company said that Aqua Broadcast products are designed to evolve with a station’s needs. Free software updates add new features, helping a station’s investment deliver greater value long after purchase and keeping the user ready for whatever comes next.
