Angry Audio hanging on the telephone

Angry Audio, VoIP, telephone, phone systems

It might be hard to believe in this digital-everything day and age but a few broadcasters are still using plain old telephone service/system equipment, AKA POTS.

Of course costs have been rising while actual copper line service is disappearing. But what to do?

Angry Audio is offering a lifeline with its “Phone Gizmo,” a simple turnkey VoIP solution.

The Phone Gizmo ships with a Yealink SIP phone (VoIP). The gizmo itself will take the phone’s bidirectional signal and turn into usable G.722 digital audio and that can be pumped straight into the console via the included cables. No old-fashioned hybrid is needed.

It should all be plug and play. The Phone Gizmo is shielded against stray RF and the I/O complement is fully balanced. The phone comes with a mounting cradle for the gizmo.

Angry Audio also offers the option of third-party VoIP service for those who do not have an incumbent service.
