The Telos Alliance has released a new Axia Altus product, Altus SE.
The “SE” is for “Studio Essentials,” a new line of compact, affordable and simple-to-use basic audio hardware/software packages.
A release said, “Altus SE is built on the same fanless hardware as the popular Telos VX Duo broadcast phone system. Its small size and silent operation make it an ideal choice for in-studio use.” It adds, “Altus SE offers a full-function browser-based mixer for remote events and contributors, allows quick and easy deployment of temporary studios, and provides an easy, low-cost option for disaster recovery sites.”
The release also explained, “A base Altus SE license includes eight faders and can be expanded to up to 24 faders in four-fader increments via buyout-style licenses.” There are several software-as-a-service options available.
Telos Alliance VP of Worldwide Sales Cam Eicher said, “The reaction to Altus SE in our booth at the 2025 NAB Show was overwhelmingly positive. The idea of having the same features and flexibility as our software-based Altus virtual mixing console, but with the convenience of an easy-to-deploy dedicated hardware appliance, really resonated with everyone at the show. We’re happy to share that Altus SE is in stock and ready to ship.”
