Summ’it aims to connect audiences through audio storytelling
Radio Loma, a municipal broadcaster in southern Spain, has modernized its studio with AEQ’s Capitol IP digital audio mixer to improve sound quality and simplify operations.
Founded in 2005, the station broadcasts on 107.7 FM from Torreperogil, a town in the province of Jaén. It produces eight locally focused programs from its studio in the town’s former post office building. Its first show, “El Barrero,” aired in December 2005, followed by a growing lineup of community-based content.
AEQ, based in Madrid, says the upgrade represents a step forward in digital reliability and ease of use. At the heart of the studio is the compact Capitol IP console, which now manages all signals produced within the facility. AEQ says the system was chosen for its durability, audio quality and straightforward operation — key factors for stations run by small, dedicated teams.
The eight-channel Capitol IP console features a fixed configuration with 16 inputs and outputs, as well as a broad range of connectivity options, including mic/line, analog, AES/EBU digital, USB and optional IP-based AoIP or MADI links. AEQ notes that the combination of robust build quality and intuitive control makes Capitol IP a popular choice for public service and community stations worldwide.
