On Saturday, April 18, 5–6:30 p.m., the NAB Show will have a mixer for its Technology Apprenticeship Program and NAB Pilot NextGen TV Fellowship.
NAB Leadership Foundation President Michelle Duke said, “The foundation’s TAP students along with the NextGen fellows represent the next generation of technically trained individuals who are embracing innovation and shaping the future of broadcasting. We strongly encourage hiring managers to join us for this mixer to engage with our participants and be the first to set up potential interviews.”
The event is hosted by the NAB’s Leadership Foundation and the NAB Pilot group.
Along with socializing, according to a release, “Recruiters and industry partners will have the unique opportunity to speak with entry-level job seekers who are prepared to take on engineering and technology roles — positions that stations are eager to fill.”
The release describes the two programs: “The NAB Leadership Foundation’s Technology Apprenticeship Program (TAP) provides hands-on training, mentorship and industry exposure to college students and recent graduates pursuing careers in broadcast engineering and technology. NAB Pilot’s NextGen TV Fellowship is an immersive program designed to educate and introduce students to practical experiences to the television broadcast industry.”
