DHD is expanding the capabilities of its DX2, RX2, SX2 and TX2 broadcast audio mixers and XC3, XD3 and XS3 processing cores with the release of Firmware 10.4. The company says it will demonstrate the update plus two new products at the 2026 NAB Show, where it will exhibit in Central Hall at booth C3132.
According to DHD, Firmware 10.4 introduces three new configuration capabilities — Flex Channels, Mic Preamp Control and Channel Categories — designed to give engineers greater control over signal access and system management.
Flex Channels allow operators to access more signals within the system by selecting sources from a predefined input list rather than from the pool of available fader channels. DHD says this approach simplifies signal routing and expands access to inputs within complex installations.
New API-related features
Mic Preamp Control allows the A-Gain value of a microphone input to be adjusted without assigning the source to a fader. The company says the parameter can be changed from the console touchscreen, the Views App or via the system API.
Channel Categories allow input source lists to be filtered according to defined signal types, helping operators navigate larger signal environments more efficiently.
Firmware 10.4 also introduces four new API-related features. These include a Control API for DHD AES67 interfaces that supports secure connections using tokens and HTTPS. This Bitfocus Companion plug-in enables devices such as the Elgato Stream Deck to operate as control surfaces, and new TypeScript and Go libraries are designed to simplify integrating the DHD Control API into third-party software.
DHD says it will also present a new Routing Web App and the RM1 Pro broadcast-from-anywhere studio-quality audio production system at the show. Christoph Gottert, international sales manager at DHD, said, “The April NAB Show is a great opportunity for potential customers from North America, LATAM and Asia Pacific to get their hands directly on DHD products and talk with our representatives. We also look forward to meeting existing clients and demonstrating the expanded features in our latest firmware.”
