Broadcast Electronics is bringing a new AM transmitter to the NAB Show.
The first AMX is a 5 kW AM transmitter with a single-chassis 5 RU design. The company says that it is highly-efficient and light weight for easy shipping.
Broadcast Electronics President and CEO Rich Redmond said, “The new AMX transmitter family exemplifies the customer focused innovation and energy we are bringing to BE to provide cost effective tools to help our customers connect with their listeners in an evolving market. AMX builds on the legacy of Radio First innovation BE delivers to broadcasters as the only partner providing workflow solutions that enable the creation, monetization, distribution and delivery of content for radio stations.”
It sports silicon carbide MOSFETs for RF amplifiers and modulators along with dual power supplies for redundancy. Also included is modulation-dependent carrier level (MDCL) technology for further energy efficiency. As a cherry on top, so to say, is an onboard Orban Inside processor.
No surprise that the whole package can be monitored and operated via a web browser.
BE will be in Booth C1646.
